Our journey didn't start in a boardroom; it started with a math app for kids aged 9-18 called Stimy AI.
We were growing quickly - but we knew we would hit a wall that every AI founder eventually faces: The LLM Tax. To give Stimy AI's 160,000 weekly learners the experience they deserved using off-the-shelf models, we would have faced a $100,000 monthly AI bill. For an early-stage startup in education, that cost is a death sentence.
Instead, we built our own AI system with dedicated infrastructure. Our bill was $1,400.
That was our "Aha!" moment. We realized that thousands of companies were overpaying for "general" intelligence when what they actually needed was specialized accuracy.
Why we built Classer
Classer was born because we realized classification is the silent engine of the internet - sorting, labeling, and organizing the world's data. These classification-type tasks are 90% of AI workloads. Yet, it was the area where companies were overpaying the most. Our benchmarks show the results.
